American Civil War Vernacular

My name is John A. Reed (see post titled “Civil War Era Quotes I Cannot Not Use”  for the irony in this).  Several years ago I left a comfortable career in hotel management for near starvation existence as a wannabe writer.  During my days working in hotels and resorts, I met many wonderful folks – in the California Desert, New Hampshire mountains, and beautiful Door County – almost all of whom I have lost contact with.   If you count yourself among my old friends, or wish to be a new one, please, please contact me at reedrobertsson@gmail.com.

For now, I am living in relative obscurity in Central Missouri with my loving and very patient wife, and two young sons.  They pray I will get published soon; or, as I also long for, find a career in the field I left and loved.  So, if you happen to know a literary agent or book publisher seeking a darn good, unique historic fiction novel based on a true, whitewashed political scandal filled with all the exciting goodies, see the above e-mail address.  Or maybe you need a super good manager for your new Wisconsin hotel.
